ABOUT — Carolina Bettencourt - Curious Person & Designer

I finished my Master’s Degree in Multimedia Communication at the University of Aveiro, Portugal in 2009. I moved to Macau and, after a year of freelancing, I started working as a Designer at a start-up: Waaa! Studio. When the company was restructured after two years, I became Senior Designer at FRC Global Communication, working mainly in Graphic Design, Video and the Web. In 2013 I moved to Lisbon, Portugal, taking a year to travel while keeping my freelance work and in July of 2014 I started working at Brief Creatives. After 2 years of city life I took a chance and went to learn about permaculture and a greener way of living in Greece and Belgium through the European Voluntary Service. That year finished in September of 2017 after which I hitch hiked my way back to Portugal and now I moved back to Belgium looking for a balance between city life and a greener environment.

Being used to small teams, I learn fast, I’m extremely efficient and, at the same time, detail-oriented and presentation master. I always find a way to do things I didn’t know how to do.

On a personal note, I already launched two typefaces, I produced an event for children, I knit plastic bags as an hobby, I try my best at illustration and I was awarded in a Visual Arts competition.
And there’s a new project in the oven!

Also, I love cheese more than grids, sorry.
